Go Away (2)

A wider shot of the garter snake from Go Away (1). This was taken on a path through a swamp. It's common to find them curled up like this in the sunny spots to keep warm. They're quick to dart away if they see you coming, but on some occasions they'll stay put if they think it's safer not to move, giving me the opportunity to get shots like this. May 2012.
